    • MettingCaddy requires Administrative Privileges becauses it uses a Virtual Camera Filter Driver, a Scheduler (for updates) and also installs into your Program Files directory

  7. I don't have Administrative Privileges on my System. What should I do?

    • Contact your systems administrator and request them to install MeetingCaddy for your account.

  8. Why does Microsoft Defender SmartScreen block the install?

    • We started our beta rollout on May 1, 2021. It takes a few thousand installations before Microsoft defender trusts the application and doesn't flag it as 'unrecognised'.

  9. Does MeetingCaddy collect information about my meetings like the participants list or my screenshots?

  10. Why does the mute button on Zoom not show that I am muted?

    • MeetingCaddy uses OS level APIs to control the microphone. When MeetingCaddy mutes the microphone it is muted at the OS level and no application can hear you. Zoom uses a different approach and does not track or reflect the OS level setting, so this could make it appear as though you are not muted. There is no easy workaround for this, so you'll just have to trust MeetingCaddy when it says that it has muted you.
